The Ronda Riviera Humanitarian Award

Ronda Riviera, (Ron Wright) Miss Firecracker 2001 and Queen Mother XX was well known on this island for her out going personality and contagious smile. Ronda was also known for her dedication and passion for raising money and awareness for organizations in need. She created "Share the Wreath" and participated in numerous fund-raising events such as "The Survivors Party". This dedication and perseverance to make a difference in the Key West community should be recognized annually, in her honor.

Miss Firecracker 2005, Smyrna Emphezema, invites the Key West community to take part in nominations every June for the Ronda Riviera Humanitarian Award. The award will be presented each year to a community individual who has shown exceptional commitment, and involvement, in working to raise funds and awareness for local organizations. This recognition is supported and sponsored by Miss Firecracker 2005, Smyrna Emphezema and the Miss Firecracker Pageant.

The first annual Ronda Riviera Humanitarian award was presented to Ginger King. I personally would like to thank Ginger for all her hard work and dedication for all the charitable organizations that she is apart of here in the Key West Community.
